We believe that everything in our lives up to this point has equipped and prepared us to be on the front lines of the battlefield to help teens and families with mental illness and substance use issues here in Jacksonville, Florida.
Not only is this our life’s work independently from each other but it’s also central to our marriage. We meet each other in 2018 while working at Gateway Community Services Inc in Jacksonville, FL, and quickly fell in love. We eventually combined our practices and found our niche in treating young adults and adolescents which we found to be a really underserved demographic. Ever since we put this together we hardly have time for anything else but it really is what fuels us.
We have both become masters at trauma resolution through EMDR and the NARM model and we are still constantly amazed at the results our clients are experiencing.

Professional Development
Individual Therapy
Intensive one-on-one counseling sessions with a male or female therapist designed to create breakthroughs, growth, and healing.
Ascend Program
Our Ascend program focuses on adolescents who struggle with substance use, self-medication, and underlying mental health issues.
Aspire Program
Our Aspire program is focused on adolescents with a primary mental health diagnosis. We host a weekly group therapy session coupled with individual and family work.
I am an addictions and trauma therapist with a Master’s degree who focuses on working with adults and teenagers. In order to assist my clients in overcoming the aspects of their past that are preventing them from living freely, I use EMDR and the Neuro-Affective Relational Model. I’m blessed to be able to assist individuals every day and absolutely adore what I do. Since I am personally in recovery, I truly lead the life that I am advising others to.
My main goal is to help people free themselves from the load of addiction and terrible experiences. I have several success stories from both adult and teenage clients, with whom I work. Work with me, and I’ll show you how to live the fulfilling life you’ve always wanted.
Since I am in recovery, the requests I make of my clients are ones that I have already made for myself. Yes, I have the knowledge from my schoolbooks, but what’s more essential is that I have firsthand experience making the changes you want to see in your life, so I genuinely know what works and what doesn’t. I have served in this field for over 10 years and absolutely love it! I have served as a Mental Health Tech, Admissions Coordinator, Clinical Director and in 2014 because a masters level clinician. I have been licensed with the state of Florida since 2017 and continued my private practice from there. Working in acute mental health and addiction treatment industry has been as challenging as it has rewarding but I wouldn’t change a thing. My niche or passion if you will is working with the LGBTQ+ population in helping them explore their identity and expression as well as creating a safe space for anyone who identifies within the community. I am certified in the Neuroaffective Relational Model (NARM) as well as the Dignity Model and I find that really works to bring about healing and resolution to traumatized people. Mike and I met in the field working at Gateway Community Services which is Jacksonville’s community program for lower income and indigent people. We fell in love and were recently married in 2021 and have become a truly dynamic duo for the teens and families we serve at McGuire Recovery.
